Best Booth Award Rules

gamescom latam (“Event”) is held by Gamescom Latam Ltda. (“Producer”), thanks to the sponsorship and support of the companies listed on the website latam.gamescom.global.

  1. The Event organizes, as part of its activities, an Award for Event Booths.
  2. Event Booths are understood to be all booths physically available in the area open to the general public of the Event that have at least 60m2 (sixty square meters). 
  3. The following Booths will not be able to participate in the Award:
    1. Booths available only in the business area (B2B) of the Event;
    2. Booths available in any of the Event’s proprietary areas, including but not limited to jobs and careers, indie area, play next and play next console.
  4. To participate in the Awards, Exhibitors must be regularly present at the Event and submit information following instructions offered by the Event by email. 
  5. The Event will make its best efforts to inform Exhibitors about the Awards, and cannot be held responsible for Exhibitors who for any reason are not aware of its existence – whether due to failures to receive the email or any other reason.
  6. The Award has only 1 category: Best Booth of the Event.
  7. The choice of the winner will only take place by public vote. Voting can only be done by participants of the physical Event, through voting kiosks available at the Event.
  8. The Event will take photos of the Booths on Wednesday, the first day of the Event, to insert them in the voting totems. The Event is not responsible if, at the time of taking the photo, the Booth is not completely ready.
  9. The Award will have at least one winner, who will be the one with the most votes counted through the sum of the votes in the kiosks. In the event of a tie, the Booths with an equal number of votes will share the prize, which consists of a trophy.
  10. By participating in the Awards, Exhibitors, or their representatives, expressly represent and warrant that they have all rights to take such action.
  11. The Exhibitors hold harmless or indemnify the Producer and third parties involved in the Event, as well as its partners, customers and sponsors, for all losses and damages of any nature arising out of or related to (i) the Entrant’s failure to comply with obligations set forth in or related to these Rules, (ii) the legal violation generated by any material displayed or made available at the Booth,  and (iii) any fraud arising from the unauthorized use of third parties’ personal information for the purposes of entering the Awards.
  12. The Award does not fall within the modalities of free distribution of prizes provided for in Law 5,768/1971, Decree 70,951 and Ordinance 41/2008, and is therefore not subject to its terms, including the need to obtain prior authorization.
  13. These Regulations are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
  14. The parties elect the Court of the District of the State of São Paulo, Capital, to settle any divergences arising from these Rules, with express waiver of any other, however privileged it may be.
