São Paulo, 1 May 2025 — Starting today (1), gamers from Latin America and around the world can enjoy gamescom latam, which is taking place until 4 May at Anhembi District in São Paulo. On the first day, those who visit the event will be able to take part in a program full of international guests, talks for all tastes, meet & greets, championships, and, of course, lots of games.
gamescom latam opens its doors to visitors with hundreds of independent titles and games from well-known publishers. On the list are novelties such as Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2, Garena Delta Force, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, FragPunk, Solasta II, Pokémon GO, HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT, Double Dragon Revive and others.

Keynotes
One of the biggest names in the indie universe will be at the event. Shuhei Yoshida, former head of Indies at Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios, will take to the gamescom latam stage sponsored by KaBuM! to talk about his career. Together with journalist Dean Takahashi, the guest will detail his journey from joining Sony in 1986, to key moments with PS2, PS3 and PS4, leading Worldwide Studios and creating franchises such as Uncharted and The Last of Us. He also talks about his transition to supporting indie games, his impact on the scene, and his vision for the future of gaming.
Another important international guest is Henk Rogers, co-founder of The Tetris Company. He will also talk to Dean Takahashi about his role in discovering the international phenomenon of Tetris and his role in the launch of Nintendo’s Game Boy. On the same day, Rogers will talk to the Flow Games podcast in a live interview on stage.
For those who are eager to learn even more about this universe, the talks don’t stop there. Highlights include a panel with Bo Andersson, the executive behind titles such as PayDay 1 & 2, Dead by Daylight, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. He will discuss the global AAA gaming scene, industry trends, and the challenges facing the major studios.
Focus on developers
For those who want to immerse themselves in the world of game development, Valve’s star guests will be giving talks on the first day. Alden Kroll (designer) and Nathaniel Blue (business development) will give a step-by-step guide on how to boost a game on Steam. On the same day, Kassidy Gerber, also from Valve, will talk about Steam tools and resources that can solve game development problems.
Meet & greets
Visitors on the first day of the event will also be able to meet their favorite influencers. Today, meet & greets are scheduled with Bagi, Matt, FunBabe, Raccoon, Himaru, Choke, Pac, Creative Squad, Jully Poca, and voice actors Marco Ribeiro, Kadu Rocha, Raphael Rossatto and Sérgio Cantú.
Championships
Those who want to show off their gaming skills also have space at the event. On the first day, the gamescom latam esports arena sponsored by Claro will host the start of the CBBS Brawl Stars finals. On 1 and 2 May, the finals promise intense matches for a prize pool of 50,000 reais and the title of Brazilian Brawl Stars champion.
The arena will also bring all the excitement of the Streamers Cup, in which influencers Guigz, Belky, Lula and Nuuh will play with fans. Anyone can take part alongside their favorite streamer via the open qualifiers on Mentora.gg.
