Fortnite Ballistic takes the spotlight in showmatch between Hero Base and Tckazetes at gamescom latam 2025

São Paulo, May 2, 2025 – The gamescom latam e-sports arena sponsored by Claro hosted a special Fortnite Ballistic showmatch this Friday (May 2), showcasing a brand-new game mode currently in early access. The match featured a unique clash between two esports worlds: Hero Base, made up of professional Fortnite players, faced off against the Tckazetes, a team composed of Valorant pros led by influencer TCK.

The match was played across three rounds, each held on one of the new maps available in Ballistic mode—two still in development and one set to launch in December alongside the official release of the mode. With this exhibition match, Epic Games aimed to introduce the public to the mode’s new features and invited the community to share feedback to help refine the experience.

The first round was a sweep for Hero Base, while the second round was more balanced, with Team TCK coming out on top. The third and final round was packed with high-intensity moments, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats. Although the Valorant players demonstrated strong synergy and skill, Hero Base ultimately secured the win with a solid performance.

Ballistic Mode

Among the highlights of Ballistic mode is a new mechanic that allows each player to choose an artifact at the beginning of the match. Weapon behavior is also different, and the pace of gameplay sets it apart from Fortnite’s traditional mode. The result is a more strategic playstyle that challenges even seasoned players to adapt. Fortnite Ballistic is currently available for free in early access on the platform.
